About Dr. Carter Gwynne
How Dr. Gwynne Started
Dr. Gwynne has been involved in sports his whole life, earning a scholarship to play baseball at Ranger College after graduating high school. His chiropractic journey began his sophomore year of college when he sustained a career ending injury that was greatly improved by a chiropractic adjustment. Fascinated with the healing art and science behind chiropractic, he decided to go to chiropractic school after earning his bachelors degree at Tarleton State University, where he studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science. Being that sports were a big part of his life, after graduating from Texas Chiropractic College, Dr. Gwynne went to practice at a sports medicine clinic to work with athletes, gaining lots of insight in how to assess and treat trauma based injuries of all kinds.
Shifting His Focus
It was during this time he started to shift his focus to neurologically focused chiropractic care. He started studying the nervous system in his spare time and growing his knowledge and insight on the power that the brain has over the body. He also studied how that power can be interfered with, and how to properly and specifically remove that interference, restoring proper balance between the brain and the body. He started to grow his understanding in pediatric and family chiropractic care and felt a calling to open up a practice that integrated his knowledge of the nervous system and background in exercise science. With his extensive expertise in both pain and neurology, Dr. Gwynne feels that he can bring something to Cypress and Winnie Texas that is unique and effective for all kinds of ailments, conditions, and diseases.
Family Time
When Dr. Gwynne is not in the office, he is spending time with his lovely wife, Jennifer, and his goldendoodle, Winnie.
